Things That Are Better Than Phlegm

I haven't posted here in the last few days because Gabi has been sick. She is full of phlegm.

Oh my word, just thinking about phlegm makes me gag. Uck!!! I will happily nurse a bloody wound, but dealing with the bodily fluids of sick children really grosses me out.

All that to say that I have been sleep deprived from taking care of my phlegmy child (Gabi's cough has been keeping her up at night), and have had a brief break from the blog, but I'm back now.

So, yeah, that was a lovely start. On to better things. Things that are better than phlegm.

Emily tagged me for a little meme! If you've never read her blog, go there right now as soon as you're done reading this post. It's incredibly awesome.

For the meme, I'm supposed to tell you three things about myself in each of the five categories.

I love:
Greek food
Reading
Italian Renaissance Art

I fear:
Drowning (no open sea adventures for me)
Heights
Spiders

One day, I hope to:
Have another child (this may be very very soon!)
Take a cooking class in Italy
Own a home with a luscious, massive yard

I'm currently obsessed with:
Learning how to knit
Gossip Girl and The Hills (please tell me that I'm not the only grown woman who watches these shows)
Replacing all the plastics in my kitchen with healthier, greener alternatives

What may surprise you to know is that:
I would love to be a stay-at-home-mom
I HATE being wet
I still have problems knowing which way is left and which way is right. I often have to use that hand trick (where your pointer finger and thumb shape an L on the left side). It's been my secret shame.

Is your name below? You've been tagged!

B at Bundle of Something- he hasn't written anything for a while, so even though he's probably gagging at the idea of a meme, maybe it'll get him back into the blog business.

  1. Hi Laural!

Well... i don't know how old are you but, I'm 22 and I do love gossip girl and the hills (totally want to visit LA someday and meet Lauren!) But because I'm from Brazil, I get all the seasons a little late than you!
I really enjoyed your blog and I will be visiting more times!

    Take care!

  3. Poor Gabi. I hope she feels better. My daughter has been sick as well (sinusitis). She used to projectile vomit (never a pretty sight, sound, or smell).

  4. I admit to watching Gosip Girl, unfortunately dubbed into Italian, but hey, can't be too choosy!
