Favorite Things Swap Times Two!

I got my boxes! Yep, that's plural. I particpated in TWO Favorite Things swaps hosted by different people, happening at the same time. I thought, why not double the fun! And fun it most definitely was.

*********************************************************

The first Favorite Things Swap I participated in was hosted by Wendi at Because Wendi Said So. I got matched up with Kristy from The Kids Are Taking Over.

After seeing what her favorite things are, she is a girl after my own heart.

1) Puzzle books (I LOVE puzzle books!)
2) Almond M&Ms (gone within 10 minutes)
3) Lined Post It Notes (for making lists!)
4) Mechanical pencils
5) Frozen Drinks book (so excited about this)
6) Extra Peppermint Gum
7) The English Patient (her favorite movie)
8) 2 CDs of her favorite music
9) 2 CDs of her daughter's favorite music for Gabi!
10) $10 Starbucks gift card (oh, yeahhhh, chai latte here I come)

This was some great stuff! I'm going to try and make time to watch the movie this weekend.

The second Swap was hosted by The Pink Potpourri. My swap partner was Tricia over at Hippie Family.

1) Little Miss dry erase board (claimed by Gabi)
2) Little Miss notepad (claimed by Gabi)
3) Eeyore Pez dispenser with refills (Gabi tried to claim this but I wouldn't let her)
4) Gingham picture frame
5) Crunchy Peanut Butter Cliff bar
6) Orange Tic Tacs
7) Land O Lakes Mint and Chocolate Hot Chocolate
8) Little green bag (claimed by Gabi)
9) Vintage postcards
10) Monkey stickers
11) Slips of paper with quotes and sayings
12) Chap Stick

I loved it all! We made quick work of the edibles.

I had to get a close-up of all the vintage postcards. These are AWESOME.

Tricia even put stamps on them! Which was smart, otherwise I would've greedily hung onto them myself and not shared.

It was a lot of fun to put together boxes to send, and to get a box in return. AND to find two new blogs.

Tricia and Kristy- so glad I met both of you!

  1. I love the quotes, that was a fabulous idea that I just might steal next time.

The packages look awesome and so nice that they included Gabi (again, something I will do next time)

I'm taking notes (in my new journal)...

  2. Love that your swap was double the fun! You got some awesome stuff!

I, too, need to remember to include the kiddos next time - I was so caught up in MY favorite stuff (although I've got a sneaking suspicion that some of what I sent will be shared!)!

I am anxiously waiting for my swap partner to post - she should have gotten her package yesterday. And I'm waiting on mine. I have to say, though - I think the most fun of the swap was putting together the package - I keep forgetting that I'm getting one in return!
