Welcome To My BATW Peeps!

Holy smokes, people.

I'm the Blog Around the World layover today!! I'm rolling in comments and it's AWESOME! I can't wait to visit everyone who's stopped by.

For those of you not familiar with BATW, go right now to Debbie's site and look around! Each day we visit different places around the world via BATW bloggers who write about where they live. It has been so cool to hear about places, especially here in the United States, that I've never been to before.

Debbie also likes to sneak up on unsuspecting members with what she calls a Layover. That's what happened to me today!

And yes, I was totally taken by surprise.

So welcome to my little part of the world everyone! Please enjoy your layover in sunny San Diego. It's a gorgeous day today.

----------------------------------------------------

Just a little update: if you're coming from BATW, Debbie sent you over to check out my new blog name. Just so you don't have to scroll down too far to find it, my new name will be LAURAL OUT LOUD. My move to my .com is in process and my new blog will be up with that name soon!

  5. Just stopping in from BATW. I love that you are a American/Brazilian family, as my brother married in Brazil and so I have bilingual gorgeous nieces. I'm so jealous of their hair. :)

  6. If only I'd met you a little sooner. We were in San Diego during our Exodus East back in May - we had to kill time while the moving trucks trucked our stuff across the country! Turns out that driving a semi from the NW coast to the Eastern coast takes..well, quite a while. We visited the zoo, and Old Town and Lo Gung played a lot of tennis with his sister.

  8. I like your new blog name. I had my own blog naming contest a couple of weeks ago. My name ended up being "Dancing Barefoot on Weathered Ground". My prizes werent nearly as great as yours though! ha! My poor winner only got a $25 gift certificate (and one of my books). Am I cheap or what? ha! Oh well, you probably got a lot of participants that way huh? Who wouldn't love those prizes. ;)

I've visited your site before, so I'm glad to be here again.

    Have a great day.

  29. The new name sounds great! I have to tell you, I thought and thought about what to rename your blog. I used to work for a magazine, and I took such pleasure in having my headline ideas chosen in our staff meetings. So I really like a challenge like the one you offered. I just could not come up with one thing! So I'm glad you settled on a great one, and I like that it has your name in the title. Congratulations!
