Gilberto was sent home from work early today due to the rain. He loves being home with Gabi, but oh my goodness, she wears him out. I can guarantee that the early crasher in our house tonight will not be Gabi, otherwise known as the child of endless energy who likes to make her Daddy play non-stop all day long.
I just called in for my lunchtime check.
Me: Hey, how's it going? Has Gabi tackled you down to the floor yet?
Gilberto: Actually, yes! But we're playing Princess Memory.
Me: Ah, a game that doesn't require you to crawl around on your knees neighing! But that game has a ton of pieces.
Gilberto: I know, I only took out about ten sets. And she's doing pretty good!
Me: Awesome!
Gilberto: She's a little cheater though. As soon as I got on the phone, she started peaking under all the pieces.
She may have been sitting still, but her mind was working a mile a minute. Yes, that one is keeping us on our toes.
And I'm at a total loss as to what to do. I laughed so hard I sprayed water all over my keyboard (so that really does happen! I thought it was just an expression before 5 minutes ago). It's so hard to instill morals in your kid when you're trying not to laugh at their antics. But I guess cheating is something that we need to nip in the bud.
