We're home!
It took exactly 24 hours door to door. And we are exhausted. Gabi has only slept about 7 hours total since we left, and as most of you know, or can imagine, it is NOT fun to travel with a sleep deprived child. The person on the second plane who had to sit in front of her was a Saint for not requesting that Gabi be locked in the bathroom until after landing.
But now we are safely snuggled back into our house. It's such a wonderful feeling to be back home! This is where I am most comfortable in the whole world.
The unpacking is almost done, but the last suitcase has all of our dirty clothes, and I've been stalling on opening that sucker up. I need to get to it, though, as the time is just slipping away, and I'm pretty sure I won't be able to stay up past 8:00 (midnight in Santos). I can't believe we created so much laundry in just the last three days!
I'll try to post about the wedding tomorrow.
And I was also going to post pictures of my makeup and hair, but they didn't turn out! I am just a black silhouette against a disco lit background. I'm kicking myself for not reviewing them before the end of the night, but there was a bit of alcohol involved (not me!) and no one seemed to notice that the flash on our camera was turned off for a while.
But you know what? Gilberto told me today how absolutely beautiful I looked that day. And he meant it. It made me feel like maybe, just maybe, I was the most beautiful girl there. If my husband thinks I looked great, then isn't that really all that matters?
I married a good one. Even though he's trying to get me to hurry with this post so he can get on the computer and play some Conan the Barbarian, or whatever it is.
Just a little note to say....WELCOME HOME!!! :)
