Drunk dialing is SO yesterday.
Drunk blogging is where it's all at, baby.
Sheesh, it's hot in here.
We had the most amazing mojitos. They came in BIG glasses. My friend has a pretty low tolerance, too, so it didn't take much to get us laughing hysterically at pretty much nothing. SO much fun.
We just realized the windows are NOT tinted, so all that clothes changing we did before dinner probably gave someone quite the show. Like the Mormons just across the way.
We have a great view of the Mormon Temple from our 10th floor hotel room. If Jesus comes back tonight, we're going to have a great view!
My friend won't go barefoot in the hotel room. Is that weird? Or smart? Am I going to regret my feet touching the hotel carpet?
We were going to use room service to get some desert. They have Strawberries and Cream, Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee and Sorbet. What the hell kind of desert list is that? Where's the chocolate? Doesn't seem to matter, though, since they stop room service at 11:00! Seriously? We'd have to leave our posh hotel and go down to Denny's to get some chocolate?
Speaking of food, I'm totally stopping of at my favorite Cuban restaurant tomorrow on my way home and getting three half chickens to go. We do that every time we come to L.A. It comes with rice, plantains, black beans and the most amazing garlic sauce this world has ever tasted. Tomorrow it will be mine!
Maybe no chocolate, but the vanilla bean creme brulee sounds delicious.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a crazy yet great time.
ReplyDeleteDrunk blogging huh? Well that is a new one on me.
HA--drunk blogging; I believe this is going to be known term in the future :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like so much fun for you right now!
LOL those MORMONS! I'm from Utah so I get it ;) Sounds like you had a lot of fun - I'm SO jealous!!
ReplyDeleteDrunk blogging...I LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you are having so much fun! I hope you did manage to get some chocolate from somewhere...
lol at the drunk blogging. And what do you mean no chocolate?? I'd have to let mgmt know that it is totally unacceptable. ;) That chicken sounds absolutely wonderful. Wish I had some too! Enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteI'll try to whisper so you don't wince when you read this...
ReplyDeleteThis Post is SOOOO funny(!) I love it. Thanks for the laugh.
Well AWESOME. Now I am Hungry AND want a drink. SOunds like you had a blast! Hope the hanggover isn't too bad! :-)
ReplyDeleteHmmmm...both crazy and smart. Smart, because ewwww! But crazy because it's too exhausting to always think of that stuff! :)
ReplyDeleteDid you get your chocolate? And speaking of Cuban, we tried a new-ish Cuban patisserie in Ocean Beach yesterday called Azucar. It was soooooo yummy!
This post was funny! Maybe I will try to write when I get drunk again! :P hehehe
ReplyDeletehugs!
Blogging after one too many...makes perfect sense to me!! It is the perfect replacement for drunk dialing, plus you can reach more people at the same time..haha!
ReplyDeleteCan I come with you? You sound like you're having a bit more fun than I am.
ReplyDeleteFriends do not let friends blog drunk. Hee, hee, hee.
ReplyDeleteThis Cuban's mouth is watering!!! Every time I go to Florida I eat nothing but Cuban food and I especially like to have lunch at places like the one you described. What is it called? Is it a chain?
ReplyDeleteAnyway, glad you had a great mojito and maybe you ought to leave the hotel some feedback about that lame dessert menu.
Tell me you're talking about Versailles! Delicious!
ReplyDeleteDid you also stop by our old stomping grounds and see Simon? Take a little nap behind Photo 2?
ReplyDeleteHahahahahahahahahaha! Hope you had a good time!! I am Mormon so you giving the temple a show made me laugh! And the Cuban food sounds amazing! If I could go back to Utah to get a Cafe Rio burrito, I would get like twenty and find a way to bring them home....my mouth just waters to think about them!!
ReplyDeleteMmmm - I want that Cuban food right NOW.
ReplyDeleteAnd I wanna wash it down with a big mojito!
LOL! Sounds like fun! Mojito's... yum! I have never drunk blogged.. too hard to type! lol This cracked me up, though "If Jesus comes back tonight, we'll have a great view"... now that would be great blog material! lol
ReplyDeletedrunk blogging.
ReplyDeleteNICE.
i think i'll pour some diet coke on Captain Morgan....
You can't have enough girls weekends or laughs.
ReplyDeleteI was going to ask to come along but since no chocolate is involved I'll wait for the next trip. Ha!
Enjoy yourselves!
I will not go barefoot in the hotel room...I won't touch the remote control with out wiping it down with with Clorox...call me wierd!
ReplyDelete-Sandy toes
Lol -- "drunk blogging." You're quite the trendsetter! Thanks for stopping by my blog recently; my apologies for not returning your comment sooner. . . we were on a "hurricane hiatus!"
ReplyDeletetoo funny,, and come to think of it. I always wear socks in my hotel rooms.. always..
ReplyDeleteSo cute. Sounds like you're having a great time!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't be worried about the no-socks in the swank hotel... I'm mostly nonchalant about germs, though.
Enjoy the rest of your time!
Sounds like you went to Versailles... mmmm... I love Cuban food.
ReplyDeleteI was laughing so hard at this post...you're a very good drunk blogger! ;)
ReplyDeleteBy the way...I was half naked in the preschool parking lot today - had realized at the last minute that I had spilled my Starbucks down my sweatshirt and had to quick turn it inside out and then back on again before going in to pick up my little one. I hope no one saw me :)
Mojitos are my fave....they creep up on ya!
ReplyDeleteSocks are a must!
That is a horrible list of desesrts, geesh. (It did make me laugh and the thought of you two with all the other college drunks in Denny's still makes me smile).
ReplyDeletedrunk blogging-- at least it can't get you pregnant:)
ReplyDeleteAnd I always pack an emergency supply of good chocolate (as in peanut butter cups or Kit Kats) on trips, just in case the hotel dessert list totally blows;)
