The Dishwasher Has Landed

The dishwasher has been installed!

I can't believe I forgot to mention such a momentous occasion! Gilberto finally got to it while we were at church on Sunday. Though it took him three hours from start to finish because he had to do some rewiring or something.

All I know is that my new dishwasher is in place, works, and most importantly, looks beautiful. I didn't realize that stainless steel makes such a difference in the overall look of things! Lest you think we're fancy, it's not REAL stainless steal. No, we went for the FAKE stainless steal so that I wouldn't have to spend hours every day wiping smudges off the surface, and so Gabi could still stick her magnets to it. Because that is a harmless activity that doesn't involve glitter.

Now that I have a new beautiful dishwasher, I want a new stove and fridge too! And new cabinets and countertops to go with all the new appliances! And a new floor!

I'm not going to hold my breath, though, since a new kitchen's not really in the budget. Plus, a new kitchen will just make me want to redo the dining room, and so forth and so on until we're 100k in debt.

For now I'll just have to enjoy not having to wash dishes by hand anymore. Wrinkly fingers kinda grossed me out.
