Feeling Fashion Forward

I went to Kohl's last night, and I saw something that totally made my day.

Because now that Kohl's sells Vera Wang, it is on the cutting edge of fashion, and can be totally trusted to have the very newest fashion trends (though just to make sure that the Vera Wang thing wasn't blinding me, I did check a few other, higher profile stores).

Silver pursers are in!

Not only were there silver purses all over the place, a few were even quilted! Like this one, and this one.

When a reader in Paris commented that silver was making it big there right now, I was hopeful that we'd start seeing some silver over here soon, too. Well, the silver, it has arrived.

For once in my life, even if it was by accident, I'm feeling a little fashion forward. The girl in me is positively giddy!

I can pull my quilted silver purse out of the closet now! It's not exactly work appropriate, though. You have to have a certain style savviness to pull off shiny metallic at work, which I do not have. So that means I need to go someplace fun. Where a silver purse would fit in.

A fun place where silver is acceptable sounds like a date night to me! Gilberto and I haven't been on a date night since our last anniversary, almost a year ago. Hey, our anniversary is coming up! Perfect.

I might even bring out the silver shoes and dangly earrings!

Now I just need to figure out where all the happening people go now-a-days for a night on the town. I don't think our usual Mexican cantina is going to cut it.
